Alibre to give sneak peak of next generation 3D software at Maker Faire NYC: Alibre Design 2011

Official Press Release

Richardson, TX - September 15, 2010 - Today Alibre, Inc., the value leader in the 3D CAD/CAM market, announced they will be exhibiting the next generation of their award winning 3D software Alibre Design 2011 at Maker Faire New York.

Alibre is very excited to be participating in the 1st Annual World Maker Faire at The New York Hall of Science! Maker Faire is truly a unique experience where hundreds of Makers, DIY enthusiasts and thousands of spectators come together to learn, share and create. Alibre's goal is to bring exciting and new ways for people to create and design in 3D. Alibre Design 2011 is the perfect product at an affordable price. Maker's can take their vision and turn it into reality in record time to digitally prototype or print their 3D models into existence.

Maker Faire is not your standard trade show - it is a fun, interactive maze of demonstrations, exhibits, workshops, and displays. At the Alibre Design Booth you will be able to test-drive the software for yourself and "MAKE" your own design! Or watch one of our Alibre Design 2011 Pros show you how to make a 3D model.

Alibre Design 2011 has two fundamental ingredients: core technology improvements and new features. Core technology improvements include a full porting of our code to C#. This makes the Alibre Design 2011 release the first native 64 bit version, providing our more demanding users the infrastructure to create designs of enormous size and complexity. Regarding new features we've run the gamut from the small to the large. From keyboard shortcuts to converting a solid part into sheet metal, from virtual intersection dimensioning to a new on-demand framework for detailing drawings. AD2011 also has automatic part reorientation improvements as well as new hole presets and multi plane creation that round our the list of new features.

Please come by our booth in the Fabrication Tent and register for a free copy of Alibre Design 2011 (Person Edition).

Maker Faire will be held at The New York Hall of Science, 47-01 111th Street, Queens, NY 11368-2950. It is located in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. To get to the Faire take the 7 train to 111th Street Station and walk three blocks south. Please visit New York Hall of Science directions site for more information about getting there!
