What is it?
HyperShot is what you use to turn your CAD models into amazing photorealistic images. It's what almost every image on this website was made with. It's an all new generation software renderer that allows anyone within minutes to create photographic realism with their model. Import all the popular model formats, drag and drop accurate materials, choose your environment, and you have a photo of your digital model. Cadalyst says HyperShot's "Real-time rendering technology blows its competition out of the water." Desktop Engineering says "HyperShot IS industrial design".
The Game Changing Technology
HyperShot is the first and only rendering application that offers real-time ray-tracing. This means that your model is constantly being rendered as you zoom, pan, rotate, and apply materials and lighting presets. Unlike other software, you get a continuous "final result" throughout the entire process. You don't have to press "Render" every time you move or rotate something to see how it will turn out - what you see is what you get - all the time. This is a first in the product visualization industry.
The Easiest Rendering in the World
HyperShot is not designed for people that want to spend their entire career learning rendering software. It isn't designed for people that like and want hundreds of slide bars, or for people that know the technical definitions of specularity or caustics or environment mapping. It's designed for people who appreciate great technology working for them and automatically taking care of all that stuff so they can focus on creating compelling, photorealistic results. It is designed for everyone else: engineers, architects, marketing folks, product designers, and hobbyists. The Easiest User Interface
If you've used other rendering software that creates the caliber of images that HyperShot does, you know the user interfaces are both intimidating and unfriendly. Often times it takes a while just to know where to start. Not so with HyperShot. The main HyperShot window is straightforward. First, open a model. Then, apply textures with drag and drop ease. Then pick a background, and you're done.
Step 1: Open the model
Just click the Open Model button and pick your model. HyperShot supports a host of native file formats, including the Alibre STEP format. Your model opens up in the real time rendering window.
Step 2: Apply Materials
Now click the Display Material Library button. HyperShot has a ton of preset, real world materials that are physically accurate. That means that paints look like paints, your metals look like metals, your glass looks like glass.
Just drag and drop materials onto the model. Changing the color or appearance of materials is easy. The model continually gets re-rendered in real time, so you can see the final rendering quality in real time.

Step 3: Pick the Background
Next, select the Open Backplate Image button and choose any image you want. HyperShot comes with some ready to use images, but you can use any image you want to put your product in a real world setting. Zoom and rotate the model until it is correctly sized and placed in the image.
