Is there a way to import an STL file into Alibre to either modify or at least measure the it to create a part?
Not being certain as I avoid stereolithography completely, but as there is aa "STL Output," I assume that a "STL" can be assigned to open in Alibre Design -- But that is merely a guess. -- LewIs there a way to import an STL file into Alibre to either modify or at least measure the it to create a part?
No, there isn't. You can try importing the stl into FreeCAD, exporting as a stp and then importing that into Alibre. It won't be pretty though since it'll have come from a triangle file.Is there a way to import an STL file into Alibre to either modify or at least measure the it to create a part?

I never had any real success with the Geomagic stl import. Anything beyond simple shapes and it says uncle. Had more luck with FreeCAD.Alibre used to have this feature.

It was very good and worked for large, organic meshes but it was removed.
I'm still keeping the old version and not going back into maintenance because I need still that feature to design complex multipart molds with included, mechanical features around organic shapes provided by 3D artists.
