    Great! Thanks for checking that eron. So, you could use a keyboard macro to control an animation with a normal spring in it. That should do what Old Geeser wants. Much simpler than complex spring assemblies... Well done...

    If you use Precise Placement to move the parts. Does it update between each increment of movement?

    Of course that's not going to work... It's cool, though, to set the mouse wheel scroll setting to 1 line and the spinner increment in Part Settings to 1mm and use the mouse wheel to compress and decompress a spring : )

    Dependant on the specific model you're animating, you could drive the whole animation using the increments of height, or pitch, in the helical boss dialog box...
