A really ignorant question about DXF exports

Hi,

As I said this a question of ignorance, but some may feel it's just dumb.

I need to export a part to a CAM package that only accepts DXF input.
I do the construct 2d drawing thing. When I export it to DXF, I only have
2d planar information. Is this a limitation of Alibre (Expert), or do I just
don't know what I'm doing? I've exported the part as both STEP ans STL
without any major problems previously.

Yes, Alibre only supports 2D DXF, not the 3D variety.

As I known, Alibre generate only 2D DXF files (I had some simillar consideration about this), but If you need that conversion- try to use for eg. some free online converters.
