Created a piece to be mounted on top of a Gearbox/Stepper assembly to fit a PCB with switches and optocouplers.
Printed by ShapeWays and shown is the test-rig.
The 'Red" levers are also 3D printed

This is the Cyber Beast from Thingiverse, printed at 0.19 mm layers with with fill and Z-ABS (Zortrax's ABS filament)). It's a little more interesting than the simple parts I've tried thusfar GMD designs.

It is hard to see in the picture of the actual part (not the rendering) that the extruded text of Re-con Engineering was very fine. I revised the model and re uploaded to Cubify. Original price to print Approximately $70. After I changed that text to extruded cut (same as my name) the price quoted after uploading was over $300 !!

I contacted Cubify and asked why such a tremendous jump in the price, and was told they had changed the "algorithm" used to calculate the price had changed. Needless to say I did not have my project reprinted and have not used them since.

They priced themselves out of my business.......I was very satisfied with the print....but I cannot justify those prices

This is a large flat dish that I originally intended to be a test after switching to a glass build plate. It is 200mm x 130mm x 20mm. The idea was to see if I get could better adhesion with ABS slurry on glass than Kapton and boy did it work. I was never able to print with PLA before because the part would always start curling up at the edges. Not anymore though. This dish stayed stuck to the build platform and is 100% flat (no rocking).

Material: PLA
No. of shells: 1
Infill: 10%
Floor/roof thickness: 0.4mm
