Is there any way to modify the core properties list?

From Files it does not bother that much as you can create custom properties for your liking.

Would like to reduce properties list to components I do want to add values.

Yes - you can edit the class definition for Assembly, Part, etc. in PDM Setup -> Manage Objects & Data. You can add or remove properties from the Default list, you can also change the display order.

Deleting properties isn't retrospective, it'll apply to new files - though you can manually delete properties from individual files.

David, ran into another challange with the same field.

I am building out my properties for my datacard, BOM and drawing templates. I created a drawing template and used the template to create part drawings. Now I wanted to update my template and added more automated properties, for example Material. When going back to my created drawing I cannot update the template anyway.

I tried to go on the drawing sheet and change the sheet properties re-selecting my drawing template, but still did not update.
Tried reproject views, still did not update.
When I create a new sheet and add my part on the new sheet, all new fields will be added, but can't get my old sheet to update.

Is there a way around?

Change template away from the current one, doesn't matter which template you change to. Then change template back to the original one - it should reflect the edits done to the template.

It works like this so that previously made drawings don't change if you edit a template, unless you choose to force it.
