Cutting a pattern from an image

Is there a way to cut a pattern into a part from an image?

You will need to trace the image then create an Extrude which you can pattern. Be careful though some patterns take a huge amount of processing power from the cpu.

The best approach with that would be to create a single hexagonal sketch, then extrude cut. Then pattern the extruded cut feature. You might need to create a second offset hex sketch to fill in the staggered rows to get the full pattern.

And 'thin wall' features can be really handy for cutting into parts, or breaking parts into separate lumps. Allows a simpler sketch to be used.
