Design Boolean import to HyperShot

FYI...
While working on an example for another post/reply, I noticed that a part designed with Boolean subtract and then imported into HyperShot as an Alibre .stp will bring along the part that was supposed to be subtracted. Exporting the part out of Alibre as an IGES or STEP will show the part correctly.

It makes sense as described - an alibre.stp includes the feature tree and any underlying items required (great to pass to another Alibre user or to move between PCs). STEP AP203 or AP214 contain just the geometry of the finished item(s), no design history or underlying items.

Mike,

Alibre *.stp is the internal/native Alibre *stp file format.

Please take a look, here are the HS "Interchange Formats".
