DXF files

Hi
I did some drawings in Alibre and exported them as DXF.
When I tried to open them in Dolphin's partmaster cad/cam they would not work. Not sure what I did wrong. They were only small drawings.Just a test/still learing.
If anyone can help.

Could be a DXF version issue.

Try downloading the free version of Progesoft Intellicad and saving to an earlier version of DXF.

I gave your suggestion a try.I first opened the DXF file in my QuickCad,
then just saved it as it was again as a DXF then opened it in Dolphin and all worked great.Round about way, but it works.
Must be some little bug somewhere!

I am glad your efforts to the forum resulted in
this particular success. However, I sense your
issue is not "local" to your respective Alibre session.
Could you document your steps in this
thread and/or replicate your procedures as
an operational "ticket" to the tech support staff
at Alibre?
I may be a very small minority that
sees some relevance in your problem akin to something
bigger. But DXF transfers are very important in
the community partnerships b/t modeling and
reality (napkin - technical print - code/process - buy off).

The sooner DXF becomes obsolete the better, in my opinion. Anything dependent on the corporate pathology of Megalodesk has to be a bad thing.
