Editing an existing BOM template

Ok, I know I'm not totally crazy but apparently, I am missing something. I have a BOM template that I use quite often. Now I have decided to edit the template so that the changes will be applied to future uses. However, I can't seem to figure out how to edit the template without having to completely recreate it from scratch. Don't really want to have to do that if I don't have too. I can edit the BOM once it is in a drawing, but I want to edit the template. Can someone help me out?

Open it from the Windows File Explorer and then edit it? Or select the Open files from the Home window and navigate to the BoM template to open and edit.
