Erratic display with drawings - AARGH!

When working with drawings I am finding that the text (like dimensions and annotations )get "scattered" all over my notebook screen, that is when it shows up at all. I know that in the past there have been discussions about drivers. I am running an older Toshiba Satellite Pro with the nVidia GeForce4 440 GO, and I installed DirectX 9.0c. Any help here?

This is a shot in the dark, but in the past, changing the system display color depth from 32-bit to 16-bit (or vice versa) has sometimes made a difference for people. Easy to try.

Thanks, I tried that already. I suspect I may be in trouble as I am using a laptop nearly 3 years old with no available driver updates.

You could give the Omega driver a try.

Hit the Nvidia GF link at the top of the page, then look under it to find a link to XP, Win2k, etc.

Worst case is if it does not work, you revert to your old driver. One other user tried it and it worked for him (his was ATI).
