freelance work

Getting ready to do some freelance work for the first time and looking for advice on things like terms and payment methods, and most importantly, traps and things to watch out for. More than forty years of plastic mold design experience, both injection and blow, would be my expertise. I've done a little searching online but love this community for how direct and helpful it is.

1 Insurance — Make sure you have professional indemnity insurance.
2 Terms - I suppose much will depend on usual practice where you live - I the UK, I usually offered net 30 days. Ownership of designs you provide oy passes to the client once you have been paid!
