Hello everyone,
I've been working on some practice parts recently and just completed a simple hand-wheel with some ribs as part of a book binding press project:
This part lead me to wonder how I might approach wrapping a Torus with some type of helical filament. Like this example I found with an image search:
The helix tool in Alibre seems to only want a straight axis to revolve around and doesn't seem to work with circular geometry. I'm curious if there is a work-around like creating a section of a helix then using a circular pattern to apply it around the torus or some other method.
Thanks for taking the time to read and consider this problem!
