HOW TO ADD BEAD ROLL TO SHEET METAL DESIGN?

Has anyone added a bead roll to a sheet metal part? Trying to add a bead roll similar to the image attached. This was done by doing an edge chamfer on a part but only works on one side. Tried doing a loft of the face but I'm not familiar enough with that function and not sure how or if that would convert to sheet metal. Any ideas? Thanks!

If all you want to do is to remove any sharp edges you could try a fillet (Part modeling tab) with a value that is less than 1/2 the material thickness.

Thanks HarldL, More than round the sharp endges I'm trying to get a 1-2 inch 15 degree bead roll along the edge. Hope that makes sense.

hey NW, let me know if this helps. There are better ways to do what is done in the video. And it is overdue a follow up with better ways to achieve this, but see if this trick helps you get to what you're after.

Do you mean something like this:

To get this you need to model the cover oversize. Then sketch the shape and use the Dimple tool to create the offset, angle, etc. Finally, use the Part Modeling Extrude Cut to cut away the part of the dimple and cover you don't want, leaving the shape you do want.

Not the cleanest but ...

Here's the example part.

Thanks guys.
HaroldL, the dimple solution seemed to get me close enough to what I was looking for. Thanks for the tip. Hadn't used that feature before.
One thing they don't mention in the tutorials on that, or at least if they did I missed it, is that it doesn't like corners. Everything had to be filleted.

And the sketch for the dimple has to be entirely on the part. That's why you need to start with an oversized part and trim back.
