How to add metallic texture ?

Hi everyone, is it possible to add a metallic texture on an object in Alibre Design Professional version, and if so, how to do that?
It's been a while I'm searching about it but never really found the info. I tried to add a material to the object but it doesn't display as a texture on the object.

Not really, best you can do is increase the reflectivity of the part, and choose a suitable colour

Alibre assumes any fancy rendering will be done in Photo-rendering software, so Alibre itself doesn't include any sophisticated rendering tools.

Isn't that what "Keyshot" is?

Correct Keyshot is a Photo-rendering tool - it is not part of Alibre, it is bundled with Alibre Design Expert, but is separate software from another company.

SimLab Composer is another option, the 'Lite' version is free and may be enough for some users. Again it's separate software.

I just watched a tutorial on Youtube relating to Keyshot and the video shoved a version 11.

I do have Alibre Expert but am on version 10 of Keyshot.

How do I go about getting the newer version?

That's a good spot to download from, but the Keyshot there is also "only" version 10

So maybe I just have to be patient and wait for Alibre to update it to V 11?

Well, you are, of course, correct!

Stupid me, I clicked on the black rectangle saying "All Keyshot versions," not thinking to click on the most obvious enormous square saying "latest" version.

I finally got it.
