I need help with a wrap

Here is something that I'm working on. I want to wrap the pattern onto the handle for texture, but I can't figure out how to do it. I've watched videos of doing something similar, but it isn't working.

Can you upload an image of the model and the sketch you are attempting to wrap? OR possible the part file itself for someone to take a look at?

Here's a screenshot. It said that the file was too large.

It appears that the pattern is too complex. I was able to reduce the quantity of patterns down to one circular feature and attempted to pattern that. I still got a "too complex" failure.

Maybe this is something that @Joseph_L could take a shot at. ;)

I don’t understand why that would be too complex. Not long ago I had to suppress some features in order to to an extrude.

The simplest answer is that the pattern goes outside of the face of the part, making the wrap/project difficult to achieve.I'd suggest doing it from a sketch that stays within the bounds of the part.

Using a project instead of a wrap makes the features very predictable.

I have uploaded a version of this part, let me know if it helps.

The other way of working with textures like this is to use surfacing. That gets very in the weeds but it works.
