Image tracing - it disappears

I have only tried this feature once before, with success I might add

I manage to "scale" the image and hit OK and then, as I hit the "OK" button the image I imported disappears!

I'm sure it's something simple but I'm lost...

Please advise

Mine is set the same, that only controls the shading of the planes. Visibility is/can be controlled in the DE.

I'll try that.

I have this happen when I insert the tracing image onto a plane which is directly on a surface. as if the surface is obscuring the image.

My solution has been to insert the tracing image onto a plane that is offset a few thousandths of an inch above the surface. Then create my sketch on the surface just below the tracing image.

when I would set the transparency to less than 100% is when it would disappear, but I notice now it works like it should.
