License update?

I had a message saying my license was updated when I started Alibre. What was it for? Anyone else get the message?

I received the message from every computer I have logged onto Alibre, using different accounts.

My guess is not version 9, but Alibre making sure of legitimate users. Why would the license keys need to be updated prior to an upcoming version update?

I ask the AA and he comfirmed that is in preparation for V9.
I hope that this time is a good change not like in V8
