Linked drawing templates
Accordong to my test the template for a drawing becomes part of each new drawing. If you subsequently edit the template, drawings that are already created do not change.
I want to be able to change a drawing template and have the drawing frame change on all my drawings. This is because I know we will change address and maybe phone number at some time in the future. Or we might update our logo or something.
Is there a way to have each drawing reference an external drawing template?
Also I'd like my new drawings to have some automatic text fields rather than manually entered ones:
Date filled in automatically with date drawing was created.
Sheet number, number of sheets to be shown automatically and update when an extra sheet is added.
Issue and maybe some other text fields to be linked so it is the same across multiple sheets of a drawing.
Title and number to come from the part or assembly file shown on the drawing.
"drawn by" to get its name from the user id, or an installation defined name for the PC.
Is any or all of this possible?
