Make a drawing of 2 assemblies with some parts hidden... is possible?

I am trying to make a comparison of two assemblies. I have put them both in another assembly and want to make a drawing with dimensions to highlight the differences.
Should be no problem.
Unfortunately I need to hide one part in each assembly and I have not been able to find a way to get the drawing to understand.
Hidden parts are always shown.
Do I really need to make new assemblies without the parts hiding the significant edges just to get this drawing out?

If you hide the part in the assembly model environment, then save it with the part hidden, it will import into the drawing with the part hidden. The trick is that it has to be saved, with the part hidden.

Yea, I think I was mistaken earlier because I used the wrong term. Try it while "Suppressing" the part. Suppress the part, then save, then insert to the drawing.

Or just hide parts directly in the drawing views...

Aha, drawing view, I found it.
I knew I was just missing something.
