Looks pretty neat. Its a long way from being usable but at least its proven to doable.

The most important task for me is to achieve a good finishing surface in the minimum time. I am impress for the Naca hydrofoil finishing.
The linux OS for my view is the future too. So many collaboration between Prestigious Universities and Research Institutes and for security issues too. I do like see AD Linux version.

Mixed system may be is good solution. Traditional horizontal layers 3D Printer for the basic and finishing with the new technology.
