Noob help please

I've finally sat down and I am ATTEMPTING TO LEARN this software, after having it for over a year. I thought I was doing o.k. and then the computer locked up on me. Started over with part and saved it. Now when I open the part back up my toolbars are greyed out and I can't seem to activate them so I can continue on with my drawing.

Any suggestions?

Here are a couple of guesses: The file might read only. I've also experienced a similar problem generating part files on the fly using the API -- once saved, then re-opened they can't be edited. in this case I had to close / re-open Alibre Design.

I had a simular problem on a Dell computer as well and found it needed update graphics drivers. Icons would sometimes grey out and other time just not work.

Quesiton:

The greyed out tools are the ones on the right hand side?

If so, the part is not being regenerated. This happens on occasions and mostly after a system crash with the part opened.

:arrow: Try hitting ctrl+shift+F5 to deep regenerate the part.
:arrow: If you are using the repository, go to a previous version.
