Opening an old part re-writes file, even when closing without saving

Yes I understand. I‘m explaining only that it appear that the cause is related to thumbnails. Alibre should be able to confirm if this behavior is a feature or a bug. I agree that only user changes that are saved should cause a file modified date change. The file last accessed date should change so maybe that’s related to this Issue.

I submitted this info to Alibre Support a couple of hours ago - they have since confirmed that this issue will be fixed in an upcoming service pack. Kudos to them for responding really quickly!

I give Alibre a hard time and is very critical of development. That said, their service is great, very prompt and helpful ~90% of the time. It's the ~10% I care about the most that is a low (no) priority.
