Optical-EME for ham radio operators

I have a “bucket list” project that I could use some help with from other hams worldwide: QSOs using the Moon as a passive spherical reflector at optical wavelengths using a laser diode emitting at 532nm, a small astronomical telescope, and a PMT operating in quantum photon detection mode. There are other considerations of course, but I need help with design additions to my telescope. As you can see from my Alibre profile, I have had a licensed copy of Alibre Expert since early in this century, but it has been awhile since I have participated in the forums here. I am active on X, and I sometimes participate in forums associated with electronics on various social media platforms. Keeps the old brain cells from atrophying... I hope.

Since you are able to read PDF files, I will respond to your private message with a longer message, attached as a PDF, that explains in some detail what I am trying to do, and why I am trying to do it. You could be a big help with this project since you are a physicist who understands optics and photonics! That is in my skill set, too, but as an electrical engineer instead of as a physicist, which is what I started out to be.

To Infintiy and Beyond... with a rest stop on the Moon! Apologies to Disney's Buzz Lightyear and to Buzz Aldren, who actually visited the Moon.
