Part to Sheetmetal
Quick Alibre Design question. Is it possible to import an Alibre part file into the Alibre Sheet metal module and convert the part file to sheet metal without having to redesign the part from beginning in the sheet metal module?
The part is designed in the part module like a sheet metal part except you would have to go to the sheet metal module to get a flat pattern. The part doesn't have to have corners ripped and radii added, just need to have it flatten out.
In Solid Edge there is a convert to sheet metal button that will convert the part into sheet metal to create a flat pattern. In SolidWorks there is an insert bends command to create a flat pattern. Trying to find out if there is something like this in Alibre. And since I am on the subject is there a rip corner command in case it is necessary?
