Plasma?

If someone could make a video on designing and exporting for a CNC plasma cutter, I would certainly appreciate it.

I can't make the video anytime soon but look for videos on G-Code output from Inkscape. Will probably do a video on that subject int he future

The only thing Alibre can do for plasma, is export a 2D DXF.

From that point on you need separate CAM software that will generate the gcode, and as Konstantinos said, you may be able to find some basic CAM built into the open source Inkscape.

I personally use Sheetcam, with a Linuxcnc controlled plasma table. Sheetcam comes with a lot of built in "post processors" that generate gcode for specific plasma cutters.
Does your plasma cutter have a torch height control. Does it has a floating Z-axis for touch off. Does it use ohmic sensing. Or do you have only 2D XY movements.

Plasmaspider may be a good forum for you to join if you need more understanding of what I've said in the above.

As said above, you need to export a DXF from Alibre and then import to CAM software like designedge.
Here is Alibre's video on DXF exporting.
If you're doing plasma cutting on a regular basis, there are some decent alibre scripts that speed up the process abit.

That's what I was looking for.
