Projecting hidden lines

So is this not a thing? I read through some posts and it seems that you can not project a hidden line. I use this method in CAD all the time. Referencing other edges to make features. I am just getting started with Alibre i hope.. I have used AutoCAD for 30+ years. Just looking for a cheaper way to do my home designing. Still using AutoCAD at work. Most of my 3D work has been boolean modeling so switching to full parametric drawing has been interesting.

And i am struggling with creating my sketches and not having access to what i think would be all the possible projection reference lines.

Thanks

With Project to Sketch you can select a previous sketch from the Design Explorer and it will project the entire sketch, including reference figures.
There are some training videos via the Alibre Training web page, just select your level of Alibre to access them.

and if you choose 'shaded & all edges' or 'wireframe' view - you can then project edges of the current solid that are not normally visible.

There was a great tip I saw in a video by @Ex Machina to create hotkeys to switch to "shaded & all edges" mode whenever I need to pick something hidden and another hotkey to switch right back to "shaded & visible edges" mode. I now have those set to the F7 and F8 keys.

Thanks. Let me try these out. I already work in wireframe most of the time and i could not project the hidden lines. I can try Shaded all edges as well as projecting the other sketches. But It could be i am approaching it wrong. I have about 6=8 hrs of Alibre under my belt now and just learned about projecting lines last week. I only have one project done in Alibre... i did manage to get it done, 3D printed and painted. So that is a win.

I did not think of projecting other sketches. I am slowly working my way through the tutorial videos on sketching. Copying a feature does not seem to be a thing which i thought weird.

Thanks

Hey so i had a few min to try this. I use wireframe and shaded visible edges normally for my editing. And guess what neither of those lets you do hidden edges. But shaded with all edges works awesome. Thank you!
