Quickest way to do this???

We have a lot of parts that have this type of feature, it is an oval shaped protrustion/depression.

I have been using the obround shape tool to sketch the oval shape as my "path" and then sketching one half of the shape to sweep along the path.

Just wondering if there is maybe a better method?

Thanks!

Is it always the same size? If yes, create it as a solid then boolean subtract from your main part. Other than that: sketch a rectangle, extrude cut to depth and then fillet accordingly.

No they are always different, for example this kidney shape.

Draw the arc (for kidney shape) or line (for straight shape) and do a thin extrude cut. Then fillet accordingly. Pretty straightforward.

I'll try that, I've never really used the thin extrude tool. See I learned something.
