Running Alibre on MacOS Through VMWare Fusion

Hi,

Just thought I'd provide a small update here. I have alibre 28 running on MacOS 26 through VMWare fusion 13 (which is currently a free product thanks to Broadcom).

Currently on a M1 Macbook Air with 16GB of RAM and runs mid sized assemblies reasonable well while I do other stuff on the computer. It sometimes suspends the VM if I do too many things but it resumes extremely quickly so I'm not worried here.

Thought I'd pass this along in case it helps someone.

Propably going to try Alibre with Vmware on Linux (Mint). Already running Solidworks there (officially supported) and it is just great. Maybe also going to try Ntlite to make Win more light.

Hadn't heard of NTLite before, looks interesting! Unfortunately for the Mac it's ARM windows so it won't work but I think I'll give it a go on my other windows machines. Did anything stop working after? Any settings you think better left untouched?

Used it last time propably with Win2k, so this is like "old information" :) But, yes, for example sometimes software's I used didn't work because I had excluded something they needed. It didn't have the "Live" option, which sounds neat since you can reverse you're settings now, if you find out that something isn't working.
