scanner for 3d printing

ok, i got a 3d printer, and curious about affordable scanner,
is there such a thing?

yeah thats too much. and then trying to edit the file may be a problem.
I have worked with some professional scans and they made very high detail, but the files were huge.

thats a good question, I get lots requests to draw fishing lures to make production molds from so sometimes they have 1 lure and If I could scan it, then I wouldn't have to try to draw if its a complicated shape. also the size/weight is important, so I'm just dreaming thinking there is an easier way to do this.
I really think the 3d printer is going to help me a lot, more than the scanner.

Printing is for sure a great way to prototype new products. Scanner... yeah I'd like one too but da money....

I have a David sls3 / hp sls3 scanner... i like it.
But they’re hard to find. Only used. And you have to learn to calibrate it.
But for alibre it’s not very useful, because alibre cannot import mesh-data.
But rhino7 is very nice to convert scanned mesh to surfaces.
