selecting by name

Hello everybody!
I would like to select individual parts of an assembly and their subassemblies after certain name filters.
AD Does not offer this possibility.
Since I'm not familiar with programming or anything like that, my question:
Would the task be solved by WizoScript?

Yes this can be done with WizoScript, the problem is that any selection made through the API is not highlighted even though they are selected.

Should this mean that WizoScript can compose the set, the parts but then e. g. can not all be hidden together or combined in a Boolean assembly?
