Simple sweep alogn paht

In the attached part sketch1 should follow sketch2 but I cant get it do so.
It must be a simple task bu what am I doing wrong??

You selected them in the wrong order.

Sketch 1 should be the "sketch to sweep", and sketch 2 is the "path object", as below:









You had the order reversed:

Can I just say that:
What you show there is IMMENSELY hard to manufacture. In reality, this would be made by cutting two pieces of PFC or C-Channel beam and welding them together. If it is a structurally critical beam, you might need to connect the pieces with a couple of plates (one either side of the web) and a couples of bolt patterns (one for each C-Channel beam piece).

I am not a structural engineer. I would consider having a structural engineer draw out the beam connections as per the local code...

Yeah, ok. I didn't say it was impossible. But it is something that is going to be very expensive to make. Notice that none of your examples have both such a small radius and also have it perpendicular to the plane of the flanges.
