Hello, everyone

At a customer's request, we've created a small tool to export Alibre-Sketches (and new Faces too) directly as 2D DXF files.
In addition, you can define a CNC-compatible offset and export either just the offset or the offset along with a sketch or edges as a DXF file.

Not yet, at least - until a new version is released, you'll have to use the "Project To Sketch" feature and then export the sketch as a DXF file.

Thanks, can save a bit of time if I make a plasma cutting file. Always had to get my DXF from a drawing in the past.

Some users have expressed a desire to trim the offset lines sharply at the corners, rather than using CNC-optimized rounded "rolling" corners. Starting with version 1.8.0, there's a special option for this

I just tried it with a simple part.
As you can see the DXF file is not correct.

Looks like the 2nd inner edge loop isn’t included, the resolution is too low or their approach doesn’t work on irregular faces with more than 1 inner edge loop. The outer closed edge is the output. It also appears to do more than export face to dxf. Working with faces in AlibreScript was problematic for me. The same technique for the Area Moments addon gets the face edges intact so it is possible to do properly.

AlibreFace does this in Grasshopper for a similar purpose.
