Split Face Feature

Hi,

I am pulling a design in for CFD and need to split a face to apply separate boundary conditions.

I need to be able to split the face here to apply an inlet and outlet condition on the two circles.

For now I have just made a small 0.0001mm projection

And that allows me to select just that face.

Is there a different way to accomplish this in Alibre without having that tiny step in the geometry? If it matters the part is built circuit first where I model the fluid channels and then I derive a fluid volume using Design Booleans. Both parts attached.

Thank you!

What is CFD for a animal, pulled from where.?
Separate boundary Conditions??
A Boolean item is missing the volume file can't be loaded

You could use the Thin Extrude Cut feature, (Help indicates that it is available in all versions of Alibre.)
Here's a video to demonstrate:

Hi all,

Apologies, by CFD I meant computational fluid dynamics.

Harold, thank you for the thin extrude tip.

I would like to add more ? to this...
Stefan, seperate boundary conditions would mean marking one face as the inlet for fluid flow and one face as the outlet for fluid flow just for example.
