Tagging Alibre on http://del.icio.us

Hey Folks,

Not sure how many of you are familiar with the site del.icio.us, but it is a site that uses tagging to classify data. This allows people all over the web to collaborative categorize items of interest as they like so it creates an organic classification system that is pretty cool.

Here is a brief explanation of it from their site:

Tagging can be a whole lot easier and more flexible than fitting your information into preconceived categories. If you want to post an article about a little known Greek philosopher, just tag it with "philosophy greece" or whatever other tags you'd want to use to find it again. You don't have to rely on the designer of the system to provide you with category for Greek philosophy. You just make up tags as you need them.

That's great for organizing personal data, but it goes even further when someone else posts related content with the same tags. You begin building a collaborative repository of related information, driven by personal interests and creative organization. For instance, to view everybody's favorites on cad, visit del.icio.us/tag/cad.

Check it out. Go register and start tagging. Make sure to tag Alibre and http://www.alibre.com with CAD, 3D, etc., and of course tag everything else you want in any way you choose.

This is a technique for leveraging the web to drive our brand and awareness to others. The more of this we all do the more we spread the word and the more we convert.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks,
Greg
