This is a test reply. I have used these kinds of forums before but never for a terchnical user group. I guess it should work well. Only downfall it can be deathly slow at the other end of the world, on a bad day (bandwidth wise)

Great job Alibre!This is the best forum software available in my opinion, yeah I know everyone has one. I have probably used all of them over the past 10-15 years. I think everyone will like this once they are used to it. Only suggestion would be to allow small photo avatars. It helps to build the sense of community, if we can "see" one another.
:idea: Also there is a gallery mod available for posting pictures and files. Not sure how it integrates program wise, but if this forum was able to be set up, it would not be to difficult to add in.

I second that one. I'm in another user group which has an almost identical format, with the only exception of the photo avatar and it does bring the community together.
By the way, I'm thinking about something technical to ask, but now that we have this beauty nothing comes to my mind. Come on, some one ask something :wink:

:idea: One more suggestion. I would add a section for requests for collaborative design projects. This software, Alibre, so lends itself to independent designers, joining together to work on a project. Or even a company needing additional designers/engineers to work on a large project, without hiring permanently. I guess you could call it a freelance request section. It would have to moderated heavily to only allow requests for help, and not a place to advertise ones business. I would probably set it up to only let moderators post. All requests would go to a moderator first, then they would post as an announcement.
