I just commented on ExMachina's latest YT video and suggested that he do a video on that one. Very tricky-looking part indeed. I couldn't think of any way to do it other than a ton of very time-consuming sweeps. I'm sure he's got some time-saving methods!

Won't win any prize for speed, but I did (eventually) find a way to model that soap holder - after several 'bright ideas' that didn't work.

The final sweep uses sketch1, that sketch was also the basis of much of the previous geometry. For clarity I should perhaps have left Sketch 1 all alone at the top of the DE and projected it into another sketch for the final feature.

I've actually got one in the works to be posted in the next few days. One thing that I noticed on TTT's model is the use of SW's Pierce command. That is something that sure would be nice in Alibre. It would be interesting to see how or if ExMachina gets around that.

Two ways to get to a result within tolerance from me!!! Really interesting part.
I liked your second method, it reminded me of the Copy with Base Point option that probably doesn't get used as much as it could. It's a real time saver in this model. Also, creating all the profile sketches ahead of using them in their respective sweeps looks faster than creating the sweeps right after creating the profiles as I did in my video. And nice use of Delete Face to turn a solid into a surface that can be hidden. That allows the edges to used as paths.

Thanks man! I also liked you axis->plane->intersect method. Clean! Kudos!

Here are a couple of models from the TTT 2024 World Championship Finals! I think this year we had the most interesting models in the finals out of every Tournament!!! These two really stood out for me, so here they are!
