Upgraded to Design Pro v9 yesterday!
I call Matt and took advantage of the special and upgraded from v8.2 Standard to v9.0 Pro. Configurations will help me a lot, and my maintenace was coming due in May anyway. The timing worked out good for me.
I have not downloaded the software, yet, and I do not intend to. I ordered the CD's and will load from them, instead. Why? I'm in the middle of a project, and I do not have the time to deal with any potential glitches that might arise. Also, I like the idea of being able to save all my part, assembly and drawing files to a safe place on my hardrive and/or CD's, uninstalling Alibre', if necessary, and starting over, installing v9.0 Pro from scratch. I don't anticipate having to do this, but it will be nice to have this option, should I run into any "upgrade" problems.
I'm looking forward to v9.0 Pro, especially configurations. I'm still on the learning curve from 2D AutoCad to 3D Modeling, but it is coming along nicely.
