V29 STEP import failed

I've today updated to Alibre Design Expert V29, but the STEP importer doesn't work.
Sometimes I get no model, sometimes a wrong model. But never a good model,
I've tested this with multiple files, downloaded on Internet or self generated with FreeCad.

See picture below for an example. Left the model, midle the settings and right the result in V29:

Turn off Heal, just use make tolerant. That worked perfectly for me.

When importing files that you don't know, it's helpful to use 'Check Part' and 'Import Advisor' - you may have to try a number of options for import settings and those can guide you.

I've tried the suggested options, but they don't work for me. The result is almost the same.

If no STEP imports seem to be working for you from multiple sources, this is likely a "your computer" issue versus a v29 issue. I was able to open your posted STEP file no problem. If you continue having issues reach out to support.

STEPS can be tricky for any platform, SAT is much less likely to run into issues, although it's less common. This did open well for me in V29 also. Do you happen to have other files that won't open that we can test?

I just imported your file. Works just fine. No preferences selected.

It seems an issue on my computer. My colleague can also import this file.
I've removed Alibre 28 and 29 and all folders with alibre in the name, and re-installed Alibre 29 again.
But this don't solve the problem.

Does the computer have enough memory to process the import fully?

Is the graphics adapter and 'unusual' one , and are the drivers up to date?

You might try a full manual uninstall (support can provide details of the folders and registry keys to remove) - then re-boot computer and re-install.
