Most likely they were turned off in the visibility list. The easiest way is to use the Visibilty icons to turn them on again. It will say 'Toggle sketch dimension' when you move your mouse over it. If you can't find the visibilty icons then turn them on by right clciking an empty spot in your icon toolbars and check the Visibility.
