What is Cursor-Centric Zooming?

Um...its already on.

and it means that when you zoom in and out the center of the zoom is the cursor (instead of the origin). It makes moving around in conjunction with pan a lot more intuitive and easier.

I guess mine is not working, then.

Whenever I click on "zoom" and zoom in or out, it does it based on the center of my screen, regardless of where I place my cursor.

If I "pan" to change the view to a different area or part and then zoom in or out, it does so based on the new center of the screen.

Is this what you mean, or is mine not working?

Hi Kugel,

Ok - so you'll miss out on c-c-z, then...

You might like to borrow a mouse to try it out. If you're wedded to the trackball, you could always get another input device with a wheel on it, for the left hand (Speedpad N52 etc.).

No offense, but why is this so?

Isn't the scroll wheel just mapped to a particular command? Why would the command be any different? I haven't actually checked that out, but I would think it really wierd that it only worked that way through the scroll wheel.

No offense taken, Jim - but if it was 'mapped' to the dynamic zoom mode, you'd have problems
