Why won't Hypershot open my file?

I have a .stp file that I exported from Alibre, it's a detail part that I created from a boolean of a basic outline... exports fine, but when I try to open it in Hypershot, the processor chews on it for maybe two minutes and then just quits. I get my workspace, but with no part.

Is there an integrity check or something, or do I have too many features?

Help

Never mind. It's just another reason to hate Alibre's "shapes" (round, D and so on) feature. I've had nothing but trouble with them and don't know why I go back. Anyway, got rid of those awful shapes, created my own from scratch and patterned them. Fine now.

I wish that would get fixed. Seriously.

That's what I was using. It's those ridiculous auto shapes... I get rid of them and everything works fine.

Oh, man, I need to get PhotoShop, or at least learn how to modify the textures I have with HS Web. Those look great.

Did you have to do anything to open them?

Hi Gardet,

I assure you, no Photoshop on our computers and I have used only HS standard materials and no postprocessing.

I have imported your file and exported to IGES.
The "faces" are better transfered with IGES.

PS CS4 Ext. OK if you have the time to lern and understand all functions and you have the money....

Tileable textures you can also create with:
Gimp: http://www.gimp.org/tutorials/Tileable_Textures/

PAINT.NET : http://paintdotnet.forumer.com/viewtopi ... 09b8391fb1
or
Paint.NET plugins: http://www.softpedia.com/developer/BoltBait-48323.html

Thanks for this. I am going to start digging into that... there's so much more that HyperShot is capable of that I don't know. All I can do now is move things around and assign textures from the library.

I have some studying to do :D
