Shapeoko 4 is a bulletproof machine that is also the highest value. It's easy to maintain and great at cutting almost any project. It has 80-90% of the performance of the Shapeoko Pro and is the bread-and-butter CNC machine.

V-Wheels (top left image) allow the gantries to slide back and forth. Shapeoko 4 uses V-wheel rollers, which are inexpensive and durable. They are less rigid than linear rails, but they’re a great blend of performance and value.

Rigid belts (top right image) push and pull the gantries around. Belts are a good compromise between precision, cost, and ease of maintenance.

Shapeoko Pro is similar to Shapeoko 4 but adds linear rails for the motion system, as well as a few other features.

The latest, and biggest, CNC router based on years and years of feedback from customers. Shapeoko 5 Pro is for people who need to push their machine hard with complex projects in harder materials where speed matters a lot.

Shapeoko 5 Pro uses HG-15 linear rails on every axis. These rails are built for much larger, heavier machines and they give the Shapeoko 5 Pro its fantastic performance. The HG-15 rails are sealed and plugged to keep dust away from the bearings themselves, so you get maximum durability in a rough environment.

Screw Drives (top right image) push and pull the gantries around and are significantly more precise and rigid than belt systems.
