Michael Gramelspacher and the team at SG Labs aren't your average designers. This team of designers and engineers make some of the toys your kids (or maybe you) go nuts for. When approaching companies like Mattel to pitch new toy concepts, it's important to have a fully fleshed-out model for the presentation. That's where Alibre Design comes in to help the crew at SG Labs make toys faster than Santa's Elves.
"We use Alibre for mechanism design (gear trains, cam mechanisms, electro-mechanical etc), industrial design (external shell design/look, parametric modifications to organic 3D sculptures etc) as well as for electronics integration (designing PCB form factors, accommodating batteries, speakers, sensors etc). We also design milling jigs for our parts so that we can CNC mill out gears and parts as well as exporting STLs for 3D printing."
