Sorry for the delay... long weekend in Mexico :D We hired a third party to develop an API program that would generate a hole chart for us. To use this API we had to save the target part to the Windows File System (we normaly use the repository). Once the part is saved there, we run the API...

We use hole charts a lot since our big driller is not CNC yet. In that machine we do fixture bases up to 3mts long (tons of holes there). We ended up having an API developed for that end. The program works quite well 8) If someone needs further data, just say so.

Hello Philip (and all) ! Autocad is basically adimentional. It uses drawing units which only the designer knows how to interpret (as inches, mm, mts, kms, etc). Since Alibre uses real units, you may want to select the adequate exporting options when you first export your DXF from Autocad...

Hello ! I think you may do a lot better using configurations without Excel. Quick start guide follows (well, at least sort of...) 1) Create your part to whichever size you want to be default. 2) Edit that parts configuration (right click on the configurations icon in the explorer tree)...

It sounds like you really don't want to mirror the parts, but to mirror the part's positons. If so, you could try a pattern. Not knowing your assembly I'm not sure if it will help you, but I think there's a good chance. 8) Good luck !

Re: Two Questions In part workspace, you can't, but once the part is inserted into an assembly workspace you can rotate it freely in reference to the assembly's planes and axis.
