2019 - Alibre crashes to Destop accessing HP Printer

We have a networked HP Designjet 500 42+HPGL2 wide bodied inkjet printer. Trying to print to it causes Alibre to crash to Desktop. The printer itself is working fine as I did a print to PDF and then sent it to the printer from Adobe Reader without any problems.

I have the same problem with Alibre Atom 3D 2019.
I have a Canon network printer.

Same problem here with Alibre 2019, Build 20065 and a Brother printer. I get a consistent crash to desktop when trying to print but only with Hoops graphics enabled. I can print fine if I check the "Use Legace Display" option.

It has been reported with various printers. The difficulty is that other users with the same printers don't have the problem. Last I heard (may not be current status) work was ongoing to try to understand the cause.

There have been a number of reports recently, where updating Graphics Card drivers has resolved the problem of crashing on printing. At first sight there is no obvious connection, but those suffering such problem might like to check if updating graphics card driver helps at all.
