2D dimension issues

for some reason when I ahve a 2D layout and I do anything to the assembly model whe I re-open the layout my dimesions become disconnected from the geometery...I found, on accident, that if you delete the view and then hit the undo comand than the dimensions are reattached...it's wierd I know but easier than erasing all the dims and starting over!

Hi,

Try to dim the distance between two lines not the length of one line(conecting line) only.

If you dimensioned the part from the line and then added chamfers/ radii to the solid edge it will lose connection. This always loses the connection because the original edge is no longer there.
