2D drawing of plate with holes......so many problems

I'm trying to draw a simple plate with a series of 48 holes in it in 2D drawing mode. Now that I have the locations, I want to change the size of the holes......CAN'T.
Dimensions won't delete, locks up, I restart, when I get back in, there are hole numbers near holes, they seem to move around on their own when I restart.....???

How do I now change the size of the holes?
Edit is there but grayed out.......??

I usually draw up any 2D feature as a 3D feature in the PART workspace and then create a drawing off of that. The drawing can then be exported as a DXF if that is what is desired.

This is much easier as the PART workspace is easier to use and you can edit each feature through the history toolbar.

Absolutely....I -usually- do that too.....except for this drawing it was easier to use the 2D directly.....I thought.

Right now, it seems the 2D mode is basically broken.

Am I wrong in thinking you're supposed to be able to create a 2D drawing from scratch in 2D mode?
Why have ALL the edit functions suddenly ceased to function?

Try taking the drawing and copying to a model sketch. See if it will change there.

Not sure how to do what you are saying.

Any "copy" I see in the menu is grayed out also......

Try the following:

Open the Drawing and select one of the views (if there are more than one).

Now wait.... perhaps one minute, perhaps two.

Does the Detailing toolbar eventually activate and a bit later the Sketch one?
