2D Drawings: Hot Key for Dim Style?

Goal: Select one or several dimensions on my drawing. Press a Hot Key that would then apply a specific Dim Style from the Template to the chosen dimensions.

Is that possible?


Or more randomly, is there a way to "record a macro" and assign to a hot key? Is that what Scripts are?

IF you have a Space Mouse or Space Navigator you can record and assign macros to the pop up Round menus. Maybe that is something that would be useful to you.

I think AutoHotkey may work too. I haven't tried it but I think @NateLiqGrav has used it.

I like your idea. That would also be useful for arrow and dimension line suppression.

This was much too advanced for me. Downloaded tonight and you appear to need some knowledge of computer programming. That rules me out. But thanks.

It's very complicated to attempt to do with AutoHotkey. And no methods exist for Alibre Script or the API.

Your best bet is to use the "In Place Editing" control in the drawing.
